This Homemade Lemonade is the perfect summer sip!

Can we talk about change?
Yesterday was my wedding anniversary. We started dating when I was 18 and my husband was 16. We’ve changed something major. People often complain about others changing in relationships, but I couldn’t be happier about it. That 16 year old was fun to date, but I don’t want him fathering my kids.
My husband and I used to share clothes. Oh, thank the Lord that has changed. For the record, all fashion offenses were on my part.
Babies eventually stop crying all night, learn to walk on their own, and grow up just a little bit. That is necessary change.

Some things might never change. Like my love for homemade lemonade.

I’ve been making this homemade lemonade for years, but only recently realized that I refused to share it with anyone. I would make a pitcher and hide it in the back of the fridge, being secretly disappointed if my husband found it and drank some. Heaven forbid we were to have guests and I might have to offer them some.

In realizing my selfishness, I now make a double batch and bask in the joy of pouring someone else a glass of liquid gold. I can be happy knowing there’s more than enough for me to drink and others are enjoying it as well.
Yes, I’m a terrible person, but this lemonade is that good. You may never break into a package of crystal light again. That’s something you should probably change.

Your story struck a chord with me because my husband and I met as youngsters as well. I was 16 and he was just barely 18. It’s so special to have that much history with someone!

I tried your single-serve recipe a few days ago and it was delicious! I love its tartness, not too sweet like purchased lemonade. Now I’m making this recipe because the family is here. Thanks for the great recipe. We love this!
